Critical Infrastructure

LifeLine Ukraine’s critical infrastructure projects are designed to enable essential services, particularly healthcare, in frontline communities. Power and water are often the decisive factors for whether care, education and social support can continue. We therefore deliberately combine critical infrastructure with our priorities in health, care and mobility.

  • Solar energy for healthcare (DESHU): decentralised solar power systems for 12 hospitals, ensuring continuity of care during power outages.

  • Solar water infrastructure (SUNRISE): solar-powered water systems securing access to clean water where central infrastructure has failed.

  • Water access and wells: restoration and construction of local water infrastructure, including wells and distribution systems.

  • Kolychivka Solar Health: solar energy for a local health and social centre, keeping essential services operational during power cuts.

In numbers: 12 hospitals with solar energy · solar-powered water systems · water wells restored · community health centre powered by solar energy

By strengthening critical infrastructure at the intersection of health, care and daily life, LifeLine Ukraine helps frontline communities remain functional, safe and resilient, even when central systems fail.
